The 2014 Colour Me Rad run was yesterday (Saturday, June 28th) and it was so much fun! I took a ton of pictures and some of them are pretty cool, so I couldn’t pass up the chance to share them.
Colour Me Rad is an event that happens across North America. It is a for-profit event – however, a different charity does receive some of the profits based on the location. It is a huge event with thousands of participants, and it’s held at the WinSport Winter Sport Institute at Canada Olympic Park. It is a 5k run, but don’t be fooled – it’s actually quite difficult! The track follows the luge track all the way up the hill that COP is built on. Throughout the race, there are various points of different colours, where people will either spray participants with coloured water or throw coloured cornstarch at them. It’s incredibly fun and exciting!
This is the official after shot, right before we took showers. So colourful!
I had so much fun at the run and I’m really glad we did it. This was my second time participating and it hasn’t gotten old yet! I can’t wait for next year!
